We have made homemade whipped cream almost everyday for the last week for dessert. My seven-year old son Percy has become enchanted with cooking during Corona so we decided to host our own cooking show. My thirteen-year old daughter Elise filmed and edited our one and only go at it! I was in my pink “Paris” PJ bottoms and Finn, the four-year old provided comedic relief. You may catch him picking his nose! Oh my! As I have said many times, all my recipes are easy and kid-friendly. If you give our first “ROUGH” go at a family-friendly, no-frills family cooking show a thumbs up in the comments, we will come back with more!! I’m crossing my fingers because it was actually a lot of fun!
Hope you have a fun and safe Memorial Day![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_column_text]

Strawberries and Fresh Whipped Cream
A fresh, summery treat
- 1 cup heavy organic cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 qt Strawberries
-
Chill your bowl and whisks in freezer for 10 minutes before if it's a hot summer day.
-
Whip cream, vanilla, and sugar together at medium speed for 5-10 minutes. It should be light and airy like a cumulus cloud. Careful you don't whip to fast or long or it will start to turn lumpy like butter.
-
Serve with fresh strawberries

May our lives reflect the Truth:
Hope is real
Healing is possible
Life is a privilege
We exist for a purpose
Grace is available
Love prevails
God has us.
Amen.

My friend Evie gifted me with these words of perspective and hope this week. I hope they buoy you like they did me!
Everything is Going to be All Right
How should I not be glad to contemplate
the clouds clearing beyond the dormer window
and a high tide reflected on the ceiling?
There will be dying, there will be dying,
but there is no need to go into that.
The poems flow from the hand unbidden
and the hidden source is the watchful heart.
The sun rises in spite of everything
and the far cities are beautiful and bright.
I lie here in a riot of sunlight
watching the day break and the clouds flying.
Everything is going to be all right.
